Asmita Chande received a Bachelors of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai, India in June 2004 and a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in May, 2006.

In addition to being a recipient of scholarships for academic excellence and coordinating numerous technical activities at an undergraduate level, Asmita's accomplishments include an IEEE publication and several Computer Architecture as well as Digital and embedded system design related projects at the Master's level.

Asmita was part of the research group at the Intelligent Design of Efficient Architectures Lab at the University of Florida wherein her research dealt with architectural improvements in various embedded systems and the impacts of emerging techniques and applications on computer design.

She has been an active member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), CSI(Computer Society of India) and the WICAR (Women in Computer Architecture) technical associations.

Future plans include beginning law school in 2008.
