John Engelmann, Ph.D.

Dr. Engelmann was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1975, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1964. He also earned a PhD degree from the University of Illinois in 1970, with a major in Organic Chemistry and a minor in Analytical Chemistry. He earned a Juris Doctorate in 1974 from University of Illinois.  He received a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the State University of New York, Buffalo, 1970.

He has patent experience in the pharmaceutical industry with Pfizer and Eli Lilly, as well as experience with specialty and industrial chemicals.

Professional memberships include the American Bar Association; the American Chemical Society; The American Association for the Advancement of Science; the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
