David Franklin

David Franklin was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1995, Missouri (inactive) in 1997, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree in 1985 from the University of Kansas. He earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton in 1990 with an emphasis on communication theory and digital signal processing. He attended the Saint Louis University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1995.

David has ten year's technical work experience as an Air Force officer and engineer in the defense aerospace industry. As a patent attorney since 1995, David has intellectual property law experience both in-house and in private practice, with an emphasis on securing patent protection in the software, electrical and endoscopic surgical instruments, and electromechanical arts and representing company interests in negotiating intellectual property rights with the federal government under the Federal Acquisition Regulations and related law.

Professional memberships include the Ohio State Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Cincinnati Intellectual Property Law Association, Professional Engineer (PE) Missouri, 1992 (inactive), Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, Sigma Chi Fraternity Licensing Committee & Life Loyal Sig.
