David W. Grillo
David W. Grillo practices in the area of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. As a registered patent attorney, David has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting utility patents in electrical, mechanical, software, and business method fields for Fortune 500® companies, startups, and solo inventors. He also handles a fair amount of design patent counseling, preparation, and prosecution. Further, David is routinely engaged in offensive and defensive forward patent initiatives as well as other portfolio development strategies including patent acquisition and licensing. He focuses his practice on patent matters with an emphasis on computer hardware and software related systems and methods. However, David also counsels clients with respect to trademark and copyright acquisition and enforcement. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in hardware-software systems, from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University. He joined the firm as a law clerk in 2001 and subsequently accepted his current position in 2003. |
