Kazuto Ishihara

Kazuto Ishihara is a registered Japanese Patent Attorney, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science, both in Agricultural Science, from Nagoya University, and a Juris Doctorate in 2005 from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University. He gained experience as Manager of the Intellectual Property Division of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.

He received an award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property Law from the American Bar Association, Section of Intellectual Property Law, and the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., in 2004. He is a named inventor on three U.S. patents and more than ten Japanese patent applications for Mitsui Chemicals. He is co-author of “Effective Production of Pseudomonas fluorescens Liase by Semi-batch Culture, Journal of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 31(1), 45-48, 1989.

Professional memberships include the Japan Patent Attorneys Association from 1998, and the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.
