Vinay V. Joshi
Vinay Joshi is a member of the California bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Vinay's practice focuses on many aspects of patent law including patent prosecution, patent strategy counseling, analysis of patent portfolios and preparation and presentation of infringement and validity opinions. Vinay is well versed in the practices and procedures of the USPTO and prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications for wide ranging technologies in the areas of electrical engineering, physics and software. Prior to joining Turocy & Watson, Vinay practiced patent litigation and patent prosecution with Howrey LLP for many years. His litigation experience includes participation in several high stakes patent infringement/licensing trials before juries in California and the Eastern District of Texas. Vinay has acted as the infringement/validity team leader on many occasions and is highly experienced in preparing claim construction, infringement and validity portions of patent cases, preparing technical expert reports, preparing technical witnesses for depositions and courtroom testimony, taking and defending depositions in the United States, Asia and Israel, negotiating with opposing counsel, preparing and arguing discovery, Daubert and summary judgment motions and conducting pre-trial and trial proceedings. Prior to attending law school, Vinay worked as an electrical engineer with Ford Motor Company. |
